hi guys,

 

the attached holter tracing was taken from a patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with history of one episide of syncope. what does the tracing show? does he require an ICD?

I understand this is a single lead holter. Polymorphic VT coupled with a history of syncope associated with HOCM would be an indication of ICD..... Syncope and NSVT are two "major risk factors" for sudden cardiac death in HOCM.
