Having appreciated the emergence of several super and subspecialties in cardiology and cardiovascular disease and allied subjects in recent time and the enormous scope it offers for these specialties to come under one platform in the country, formation of Indian College of Cardiology is a felt Need. Further, such a college provides great opportunity of exchange views and inculcates indigenous outlook in addition to promotion the academic interest and research in the fast developing specialties in the country. Hence Indian College of Cardiology was be founded in the year 1994 at Bangalore, a very fast developing city in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
