Thank you. The standards here are quite o.k. I would say, compared to the rest of western Europe. We have general health care for our population, which makes Austria a great place to live from a patient-perspective. From the doctors'…

Hi there,
Many thanks for your comment.
I'm afraid that I cannot comment on the job market in Germany as I am not familiar with the opportunities there. There are options for Australia and I suggest that you get in touch with the Australian Medical Council (AMC) who would be better able to discuss with you the path you would need to take to have your qualifications and background assessed to allow you to take up a position in Australia. The AMC website is www.amc.org.au.

I hope this helps.

Thank you. The standards here are quite o.k. I would say, compared to the rest of western Europe. We have general health care for our population, which makes Austria a great place to live from a patient-perspective. From the doctors' perspective there are some drawbacks like long working hours, relatively poor salary and in some hospitals teaching is not excellent. However, I think this is probably the case in a lot of countries. Thanx for taking the time to write your note. If you want to get some learning done, visit our echocardiograpyh blog at www.123sonography.com. We will soon provide an entire course on the subject. So stay tuned. All the best to you, Franz
