The 40 minute presentation introduces the concept of echocardiography and justifies the use of the technique alongside other imaging modalities.

Starting with an overview oif the basic science of ultrasound, the video follows on to introduce the specific techniques of trans-thoracic, trans-oesophageal, stress and contrast echocardiography. Case studies are presented for each technique.
